U17 Kirton Shield

The Central Highlands Region conducts the U17 inter-association competition the Kirton Shield.  The competition is spread across the season with games played on Sundays before and after Christmas with the final scheduled in February.

The Kirton Shield was named after Ewen Kirton, long-time administrator, Kirton's achievements include:
  • BCA Treasurer for 22 years from 1952 to 1974 
  • VCCL Secretary for over 30 years from 1937/38 to 1938/39 and after the recess for WW2 from 1945/46 until 1976/77.

    Pool B
