In July 2018 Australian Cricket released their Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People. The policy contains a framework of resources to ensure they create a safe, fair and inclusive environment for Children and Young People within the sport, across Associations and Clubs and through the programs and services delivered.
The expectation of the Framework is that all Associations and Clubs endorse and adopt:
On Tuesday 30 July, the Central Highlands Region Board formally adopted the Australian Cricket's Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People. In taking this step the Central Highlands Region makes a commitment to child safety within cricket and sets an example which all of the region's clubs should follow.
It is strongly recommended that all clubs across the Central Highlands now follow this process and adopt the Framework.
