Coaching CoursesThe following coach accreditation courses will be offered in the Central Highlands during season 2009/10.
Level 1 (Development) The Level 1 Coaching Course aims to equip individuals working with under-age and community cricket teams with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective coach. Introduction to Cricket - On-line course (Level 0) NEW Cricket Coaches Australia now have an 'Introduction to Cricket' Online Course available.
This FREE course is ideal for volunteers, parents and those beginning coaches, Milo In2Cricket Coordinators, junior team coaches, teachers or those assisting managing teams.
This course is accredited by the Australian Sports Commission and takes approximately 1-3 hours to complete and on completion of the course, you become Level 0 accredited.

These sessions are available to associations, clubs and schools on a needs basis.
The format of the 2 hour face-to-face contact sessions can vary for each audience. Eg. Milo In2Cricket Coordinator training nights, Junior Club Coach nights and School Coach nights or Student sessions.

Level 2 There is a strong possibility that a Level 2 Coaching Course will be run within the Central Highlands Region in Ballarat during early October 2009 period. Contact Regional Cricket Manager if interested.  The Cricket Victoria Sports Development ProgramThe Sports Development Program is a joint initiative between Cricket Victoria, SEDA (Sports Education & Development Australia) and Victoria University, specifically designed for young people who would like to pursue a Sport and Recreation related career. If you are a year 10, 11 or 12 student you can complete your VCE, VCAL and Certificates III and IV in Sport and Recreation leading to a Diploma of Sport (Development). Core curriculum involves theoretical and practical experience in sports administration, marketing, fitness, coaching, event/project management, literacy, numeracy and career planning.
